Music Box Films have released a trailer for a Japanese film called Quill: The Life of a Guide Dog. The film is directed by Sai Yoichi.
The film is actually a true life story cycle of a guide dog, trained in Japan, a beautiful Labrador Retriever named Quill. The trailer becomes more adorable when Watanabe, an elderly blind man is introduced, who won’t accept the dog at first. But Quill’s great patience and gentleness eventually win him over and they become inseparable friends.
The film was actually released in Japan in 2004 under the name Quill, but distributor Music Box Films is bringing Quill: The Life of a Guide Dog to US theatres on May 18th, 2012. Quill: The Life of a Guide Dog is definitely a heartwarming film for both animal lovers and non-animal lovers.
