Duru’s creation just got him on the Guinness Book of World Records for “the Farthest journey by hoverboard” after he successfully hovered 275.9 meters (905 ft 2 in) across the Lake Ouareau in Quebec, Canada using his homemade hoverboard.

Rider can stand on this propeller-based hoverboard and can also control it with their feet. Thanks to this creation, Duru become the first man to build and fly a functional hoverboard.

“The prototype can be used anywhere, but is usually tested over water because of how dangerously high it can fly, which is ironic considering that the movie joked that it can’t,” says Duru.

It will only be a matter of time before someone break this record. In fact, I’m working on my poo-powered hoverboard right now. So, enjoy your victory while it last, Duru.
