Watch: Gravity Trailer

Had enough nerve-shredding space based tension in your diet today? Didn’t think so. Alfonso Cuarón’s Gravity is shaping up to be a real nail biter and this trailer fully proves that. The film follows George Clooney and Sandra Bullock who, after disaster strikes on a routine spacewalk, are left detached from their destroyed shuttle as they spiral out into space with no communication to Earth. It’s a truly nightmarish scenario, something that Cuarón’s directorial style is naturally conducive to. Aside from being absolutely terrifying, early footage suggests that the film is going to be a real thing of beauty aesthetically, but you can see that for yourself with the awesome new trailer below.

How great is it to have a trailer that doesn’t completely spoil the entire film? Fast & Furious 6 more or less condensed the entire film into the trailer, but there’s no such feat here. All we get to see is a snippet from a scene and boy does it work. Excellent, thoughtful output from the team behind the film here. Us Raccoons are frothing at the mouth and it’s not even from the rabies.

Gravity is released October this year in IMAX 3D and 2D.
