Washington {Part Two}

By Heathernichole
Sunday was a little more laid back than Saturday was. I think all the traveling caught up to me because halfway through the day I was exhausted. When we woke up my brother and sister-in-law were gone. They had already left for church. My parents and I had a lazy Sunday morning. We made breakfast and spent some time with Nash.

Washington is a beautiful state. It’s much colder than Southern California but it was nice to experience the gloomy weather. It actually felt like winter. However, I could never live there. I love styling my hair too much. In Washington it rains often and there is so much moisture in the air. There really is no reason to do your hair each morning. It will just get messed up as soon as you walk out the door, especially if you’re a local and you don’t use umbrellas. I let my hair dry naturally for the remainder of my trip.

We spent some time at my brother’s church. I have to say I was highly impressed by their campus. I personally prefer smaller churches but nonetheless, I was very impressed by Timberlake. They even have a coffee shop in their foyer.

The next few photos were taken just outside the back of the church. The view was absolutely stunning. I kept thinking about Twilight the entire time.

The big game was on. I think they refer to it as football. I kid. I can’t stand football but the Seahawks game was a huge deal to the Washingtonians. We left the church and went to eat at a place near my brother’s place called Ram. It was a big mistake but it kind of turned into a cool experience. I think we may have been the only people in there not wearing blue and lime green. The TVs were extremely loud; we had to yell at one another. There was chanting going on and everybody was taking shots during commercial breaks. These fans are crazy for their team. (I’m not making this next part up.) There was even a girl crying near us. CRYING. Over a football game. I will never understand that.

I took the next few photos and video when the game was over. Everyone was so excited that the Seahawks are going to the Super Bowl. You’ll be able to hear me yelling, “Somebody is spitting on me.” And then I looked up and realized it was my brother. He got a little carried away.

After the game was over we went back to my brother and sister-in-law’s apartment. I ended up falling asleep on the couch. Everyone else went back out to watch the other game and then they went out for ice cream. I missed all of that. I was out. I spent the rest of the evening on the couch with this little guy at my feet.
