When the deputies questioned Foster, who cooperated with the investigation, he said that he witnessed a group of people hitting a defenseless female subject. He yelled for them to stop, but when they refused he said he fired two shots from his gun into the ground to scare the group away from her. He said that he felt it was the only way to get the group to stop.Is it ever legitimate to do something like this? Are warning shots acceptable, compared to say, shooting people? Is there no other way to handle things like this?
Do you think he was arrested because the cops didn't believe his description of events? Or was he arrested despict the facts of the case, in other words, was he arrested because according to the law one cannot use a gun that way?
