Melee combat action with giant horned rats? Sounds like another Warhammer game coming to your next-gen console. Indie game developer Fatshark has unveiled its new sequel to the Warhammer series, Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide to be unleashed upon PC, Xbox One and PS4 in second half of 2015.
The next-gen co-operative first-person melee combat adventure game puts the players in a chaotic city of Ubersreik, where you get to select from a band of five heroes with different abilities to team up and battle against the Skaven, the ugly man-sized rats.
“Combining gritty combat with cooperative multiplayer action, Vermintide will provide the player with a completely new perspective of the Warhammer Fantasy universe, through the eyes of the heroes they play,” said Martin Wahlund, CEO of Fatshark. “Staying true to the fantasy lore, with familiar foes and locations, we look forward to winning the hearts of enthusiasts and newcomers with this new take on the Warhammer story”.
