Walk - Wantage - Ardington, the Hendreds and Back...

Posted on the 17 November 2012 by Freeplanet
very nice family walk from Wantage through Ardington and the Hendreds (east and west) in a vaguely circular route. The Hawthorns and the Mushrooms were out in force, the girl took these lovely photos.

We found (well, a local guide walking her effervescent doggie convinced us to visit) a wonderful, modern stone circle and solar system monument at Ardington that I'd recommend to any walkers who find themselves passing through. Luckily, about a dozen roe deer crossed our path at one point. Very special moment.
