How many things to visit in Italy, but I want to offer you one a bit special: the bridges. They have an incredible charm for me! They connect one world to another remaining suspended in air.

There are a lot of famous bridges in Italy. It is located above the Ticino river. The bridge connects the town to Borgo Ticino and Borgo basso: they are a very amazing places and if you follow the main road ... you will find some amazing restaurants to eat the risotto! Here's a bit of history to learn about the bridge. In the middle of the XIV century the bridge was reconstructed to replace the ancient Roman bridge, whose piers are still visible. It links the old city centre to the picturesque medieval village, a traditional place of washerwomen and fishermen. The bridge is one of Pavia’s famous landmarks for its tile roof, wanted by Galeazzo II Visconti, the day after the conquest of the city. The bridge was bombed during the Second World War and reconstructed in the early 50s. And now? Have a nice walk!

Quante cose da visitare in Italia, ma io voglio proporvene una un po’ particolare: I ponti. Per me hanno un fascino incredibile! Collegano un mondo ad un altro rimanendo sospesi nel vuoto. Se sbirciate per l’Italia di ponti famosi ce ne sono. Giusto per andare a Firenze e Venezia ecco due post dedicati ai ponti. Ne vorrei ora aggiungere uno alla nostra collezione : il ponte coperto a Pavia. Si trova sopra il Ticino. Il ponte collega la cittadina a Borgo ticino e Borgo Basso: hanno una fascino tutto loro e se proseguite sulla via principale…troverete delle trattorie incredibili dove mangiare il risotto! Nel mezzo del XIV secolo il ponte fu ricostruito per rimpiazzare il vecchio ponte romano, di cui i pilastri sono visibili. Collega il centro della città vecchia al pittoresco villaggio medievale, luogo tradizionale delle lavandaie e dei pescatori. Il onte è famoso soprattutto per il suo tetto voluto da Galeazzo Visconti II il giorno dopo la conquista della città. Il ponte fu bombardato durante la seconda guerra mondiale e ricostruito nei primi anni Cinquanta.Cosa ci manca? Una bella passeggiata!
