Sam Trammell (Sam Merlotte) was honored in New York at the GQ Gentlemen’s Ball for his work with the organization Oceana this week. But while on the red carpet, he stopped to talk about his new film, The Fault in Our Stars with MTV. Sam plays the father of a young cancer patient, played by Shailene Woodley, who falls in love with a boy she meets in a cancer support group. Sam talked about how wonderful the script is and how he can’t wait for fans to see this uplifting but emotional film that made him cry while reading the script. Watch:
