As a lover of music, there are several songs that I will find creative, evocative, “sings to my senses” every time I hear it… Much like watching a certain Viking in action.
These songs… They can haunt me, and I am leery around listening to covers of them since they will always be compared to the original work of art.
For me, Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Games” is one of those songs. So color me cautious when I hit play on this week’s Video of the Week for the first time.
And I am grateful I did… hit play. For I found this cover completely haunting as I found the original.
Again I say…. Dammmmmmmmmm
