Shooting another photographers wedding……No pressure then!

So thoughtfully mentioned within the wedding breakfast speeches by the Best Men. I hadn’t really given it a second thought before that point.

So many could see this as a daunting prospect, shooting another photographers wedding day. The possible pressure involved, magnified responsibility – will all be happy with the results?

Luke and Sam are much alike many other couples. However their over ruling attitude was one of ‘lets keep it natural, and you do what you know best’. So thats how the day played out.

A relaxed couple, with a relaxed photographer naturally leads to great wedding photography reflecting the day and the energy of the people gathered.

The Victorian Barn Blandford is a great venue within which to work. A great venue surrounded by Dorset countryside within it’s lakeland setting. Plenty of open space and an abundance of light!

That’s a major thing within Like and Sam’s day, not only were there great picture opportunities, these moments were also met with beautiful light. Complimenting and enhancing each and every image, from bridal preparations, to ceremony, through to the natural portraits. their day was a complete joy to capture!

When the drink flows, the partying begins.

A warm crowd of family & friends ensured this day would be one big party. I’m not one to lead within photographic direction of any kind, preferring to work from the instances presented, capturing truthful records of each and every day. This group didn’t need encouragement, with the Groom’s party freely entertaining themselves with games of spoof and jagerbombs, along with human pyramids. God knows what happened after hours after I left? I’m sure I’ll be updated shortly.

This day had it all for me, energy and connection, fun and tenderness. Here’s just a small preview from their day last week, I hope you enjoy them!
