Taking Care of Mom and Dad
http://takingcareofmomanddad.wordpress.com/
Hello, my name is Kelli and I have started this blog to assist those of you who need help taking care of mom and dad or other loved ones. I often talk to people who know their loved one needs help, but don’t know what is available or how to get it once they do know. I am using my years of experience, both personal and professional, to put all the information that can help you help your parents all in one place. Whether you are caregiving from a distance or live in the same house as your loved one, I can offer an overview of services that may be available to you, no matter where you live.
I have several college degrees, one of which is in Health Care Administration. I have been a nursing home administrator, Social Serivce Specialist, Pharmacy Tech, Radiographer, and personal care giver to my father, my grandparents, and now my mother. Currently, I work exclusively in the aging field helping to adminster a governemnt funded program that assists elderly and disabled individuals to stay in their own homes instead of going into a nursing home.
I hope you will join me on this trip and feel free to ask questions any time. If I don’t know the answer, I know where to find it.
