Use Gratitude to Grow Yourself Daily

Abundance on Daily Inspiration Board

One of the key turning points in my life was when I stopped focusing on all the things that were wrong with my life, and started looking at everything right with it.

It didn’t matter that I wasn’t exactly where I wanted to be. It’s healthy to always have a goal, or goals, to work towards. Instead, when I flipped my mindspace on it’s head and rather than looking at what was wrong with my world, and instead looking at what worked, I found that profound shifts started to happen in me, and my life started to change for the better.

It didn’t happen straight away, but over time, repetition of gratitude over dissatisfaction started to slowly make its way into my world.

I think that this is particularly evident when we go through changes in life, and we have to start again.

It’s really easy to fall victim to the trap of feeling sorry for ourselves; obstructive thoughts; and negative habit patterns that don’t serve us. Instead we need to look around and ask, ‘what is right about this?’ and trust that a new and better door will open now that the other one has closed.

How to use gratitude to grow yourself daily

  • Keep a one-sentence journal; you can use a platform like Evernote. Write down the 1-3 things you are grateful for every day.
  • Every time your thoughts go to something you’re hating, instead think about what’s good about the situation. Then, think about how you can make it even better from a perspective of fulfillment and abundance.
  • Express gratitude to others. When someone does something nice for you, don’t take it for granted. Express how grateful you are for what they have done to help you, assist you, or just make your life better.
  • Use this gratitude to create more abundance in your life simply by thinking about it regularly.
