Between the World Cup and Independence Day, we're feeling very patriotic this week. It turns out we're not the only ones.
Loyan, a local customer and longtime friend of Soft Star, came to our workshop a few days ago to see if there was time to order a pair of design-your-own shoes for him to wear while he watched the USA v. Belgium game this coming Tuesday. Fortunately for him, our seamstresses had worked hard to stay on top of our orders and we had the time to give him some special service.
After mulling over leather choices and styles, Loyan settled on a pair of shiny ruby and sapphire Portlanders. The special treat was a large star inlay on both the sides and the back of the shoes (something we've experimented with in the past but do not offer as a regular option). Tim also found a pair of sparkly silver laces to complete the red, white and blue theme.
Loyan said he wanted a flashy pair of shoes that would stand out while he watched the game with his friends, and he was very happy with the results:
