Urban Decay Ultimate Basics Palette

By Hollysbeautybox @hollysbeautybox
Urban Decay are the masters of the eyeshadow palette. Let's be real, the Naked palettes are iconic and social media looses it's shiz at the mention of a new release. Here, we have the daddy of all new releases - The ULTIMATE Basics Palette and I managed to get my mitts on one.. Oooohh Yeah.

Let's talk about the packaging. Holy Mother of Shiz Balls. I think this is the best packaging I've ever seen on an eyeshadow palette. It's like a copper chrome color with 3d raised detailing.  Moving onto the product itself, it has 12 matte shadows which are all earthy and nude, making them super easy to wear for all eye colours.

I have used 9 of the 12 shades already and have plans for the two darkest shades on the lash line and outer corners. The only shade I can't bring myself to use is the gray blue shade. Hues of blue just make me reminisce about my school days where I wore blue eyeshadow ALL over my lids. FAIL!
This for me, is the ultimate 'all in one' palette. I have plans to take this to NYC with me, I could easily rock everything from a nude to a bold or smoky eye solely using this palette. There's obviously no shimmer or glittery shadows, so I have a funny feeling an 'ultimate Naked' palette will be released with a mix of irridescent and shimmery shades.
In terms of pay off, these are highly pigmented, they last all day long and do the trick pretty damn well. I do find them a little bit powdery but still, 10/10 for this!
What do you think of the new palette?
