With a string of promotional teasers posted to the band’s Facebook page, expectations are running high.

Originating in Port St. Lucie, Florida, electro-rockers Sierra Kusterbeck and Blake Harnage make up the duo known as VersaEmerge.

VersaEmerge came together in 2005, releasing multiple extended plays:Cities Built on Sand was independently release in 2007, and Perceptionswas independently released the following year. Perceptions caught label Fueled By Ramen’s attention, subsequently leading to VersaEmerge’s self –titled EP in 2009.

A handful of band members later, as well as a switch from post-hardcore to experimental rock, VersaEmerge released their début album, Fixed at Zero. This 2010 release allowed the band to reach a whole new audience; VersaEmerge headlined the Vultures Unite Tour that fall, and was picked up to join the 2011 Spring Alternative Press Tour.

Notable tracks from Fixed At Zero include “Stranger” and “Redesign Me.”

Another year, and another change in membership, 2011 saw the release of a self-titled, live acoustic EP.  A mix of contemporary cover songs and B-side tracks from Fixed at Zero, this release solidified the musical chemistry between Kusterbeck and Harnage.

As of May 2012, VersaEmerge was finished recording their second full-length album, Another Atmosphere. (x) Thanks to social networking sites, “vultures,” as the band endearingly calls their fans, have been able to get a taste of what to expect on the upcoming album. From vague commentary (“the future is emerging”) to the “retro-futuristic” profile photo (pictured above), everything has led up to the release of “No Consequences.”

The first single from Another Atmosphere, “No Consequences,” marks the beginning of a new sound. The track is edgier, to say the least, with lyrics like “You’re good but I want the best… I want the world with no consequences.”

It was announced on their Facebook today that fans will soon be able to preview the album on iTunes. As of July 31st, “No Consequences,” “Bones,” and “Domesticated” will be available for streaming. There’s no word yet on whether it will be mere clips or the songs in their entirety.
