Unloved Products That Are Making a Comeback

By Behindtheseclosedeyes @theseclosedeyes
You all know how it is, there are some unloved things hiding away in your drawers, cupboards and anywhere else you tend to store your make-up and they are just screaming out to be picked up again. This thought seemed to hit me the other week and I decided to fish some of these unloved products out to get some use out of them. Surprisingly I have fallen back in love with them so I thought why not make a post and hopefully it can inspire more people to have a rummage through their stash as there could be some gems hiding in there!
Unloved products that are making a comeback
Blistex Relief Cream: I used to love this little miracle tube for mending chapped and dry lips but gave up on it when the tube took on a life of its own and decided to keep squirting product out when it wasn't needed, so you can only imagine the mess! It was swiftly hidden away in a drawer and left to hopefully fix itself and thankfully the tube seems to have calmed down after I forgot about it for so long. I think the cream is great for moisturising the lips and also gives you a bit of a tingly feeling which is quite nice.
Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse: Well, well, well, this seems to be a product that a lot of people have a love/hate relationship with and I was definitely one of them. When I first got this foundation about a year ago I was in love with it and really enjoyed the moussey texture of it, but after a while I found that it was looking quite horrible on my very dry skin and therefore was banished to the drawer. Thankfully my dry skin seems to have cleared up now which means me and this foundation can now be friends again, and I've been loving the finish of it as I think it looks really natural.
Natural Collection Pink Cloud blush: This blush was a staple in my make-up bag and for good reason too as it is an absolute bargain and great quality for such an affordable blush. Of course more blushes have come and gone since then so this Natural Collection beauty has been a bit neglected but lately I have found myself reaching for it again.
Rimmel Vinyl Gloss: Firstly I need to say that this lipgloss was originally clear but after layering it on top of pink lipticks countless times it has now turned into a lovely pink and shimmery gloss. I was never much of a lipgloss person but lately I have been reaching for this tube more as I love the finish and just think it brightens your lips right up, especially in summer. The gloss isn't too sticky which is nice and seems to last for a fair amount of time.
Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara: This mascara was a freebie in Elle magazine many months ago and I have to admit I really didn't like it to begin with. It seemed to clump like crazy every time I tried to use it and  the huge brush didn't seem to be doing much for my lashes. Fast forward a few months and I am now loving the mascara as it seems to have dried out a little bit which has done wonders for the application and overall look of the lashes. My lashes are left looking a lot longer and more voluminous without leaving huge clumps and I love how black the mascara is as it is noticeable without looking like you have applied about a million coats.
So there you have it, these are the rediscovered products that I have recently fallen back in love with. Have you rediscovered anything in your stash lately?
