University || First Year Round Up

By Shimmerofpink @shimmerofpink
Hellooo shimmers,
With first year of University firmly behind me and the second year quickly approaching, I thought now would be a good time to reflect.
I have had the most amazing year. I have met so many friends, learnt so much about myself, my subjects and those around me. It has made friendships stronger and some weaker. I could not have wished for a more perfect year.
I passed all my exams, so that was a huge relief and I am so happy and proud of myself because the work wasn't easy and I did work hard.
With first year under my belt I am really excited for second year. I will be moving into a flat with 3 other girls that I have become friends with over the last year, and I can't wait! (I will do a flat tour at some once I've moved in).
If you have read my university series post from last year then you may know that I am studying psychology, last year I also studied business and sociology which I thoroughly enjoyed too. This year I am hoping to study (as well as psychology) business, criminology and the basics of social work.
I didn't know what to expect last year starting university, and it wasn't quite how how I expected it, it wasn't better or worse than I had expected just different. So the same goes for this upcoming year, obviously I have a rough idea when it comes the the work but in terms of the flat, social life and other aspects of University I can't wait to see what this year brings.
University is such a huge learning experience not just in terms of academic but also yourself. People take gap years to find out more about themselves. I think going to university gave me the same chance at finding out about myself, how I would survive living on my own, and I'm still alive so I would say I did well!!
Congratulations to those who have graduated this summer, and to those who are about to begin, good luck and enjoy. I would love to hear about your University experieces and if you have any questions feel free to ask.
