While on a United flight taxiing to the terminal, I spotted this A320 “Retro Jet” sporting the classic livery introduced in 2011 to commemorate the 85th anniversary of United Airlines. United Airlines held a contest for employees to vote for their favorite previous livery. The winning scheme would then be painted onto a “retro jet” to commemorate the anniversary. United used this livery from approximately 1970 to 1977. Sony RX-100 image, processing with iPhoto.
