This afternoon we’re craving rocks – and we’ve got the sparkle to back it up. We’ve been adding more vintage inspired and platinum baubles to our wishlist, but today we’re especially interested in big diamonds. You know, the type that make you lean to the left when you walk. The sort that cause a glare in photographs. The kind that are such head-turners we’ve got chiropractors thanking us for booming business. In other words, we like big diamonds and we cannot lie. Especially when they’re mounted in beautifully unique engagement rings settings. White metal still rules the bridal trend scene (although requests for rose gold and yellow gold engagement rings have certainly been on the rise) so today we’re showcasing out white gold and platinum favorites.

White gold and diamond engagement ring in square halo with round diamond

Hello, lover. Micropave split shanks meet diamond studded shoulders before bowing down to a square pave frame mounted with a gorgeous .71ct round brilliant diamond (in addition to the 1 ctw of accent diamonds).

This ring is the definition of refined glamour. A beautiful, prisitine GIA certified G colored VS 2 1.09ct cushion cut diamond is set flush with a platinum halo of .40ctw round brilliants. The shank is a simple, platinum rounded band that won’t compete with the center show.

Mixing two different types of diamond cuts is one of our favorite ways to create a unique engagement ring look. The stunning 1.16 carat center stone shows off its fabulous color (F) and impeccable clarity (VS2) with a minimalist, clear step cut. The side stones (approximately another carat) sparkle with lots of fire thanks to their brilliant cut, but their trapeze shape nicely mimics the rigid lines of the center diamond. All set in platinum to create an extra luxe look.

Did you just audibly gasp? Good, that’s the appropriate reaction. First of all, let’s discuss the center stone, since there’s no tip-toeing around this elephant in the room. A fabulous, 2.20 ct princess cut, G colored, internall flawless center stone compeletely dominates this ring (in the best possible way). As if that wasn’t enough, an additional carat and a half of round brilliant diamonds studs the shanks. Can you say “yowza?”
