Uniqlo Philippines: Meet the Cast

I was recently invited to the cast party where the brand ambassadors of Uniqlo Philippines were announced officially. Opening the program was Mr. Katsumi Kubota, chief operating officer of Fast Retailing Philippines, who shared an overview of Uniqlo and its philosophy.

Soon enough, one by one, the cast were revealed. First up was famous basketball star Chris Tiu who likewise holds a double undergraduate degree. An inspiration not only for sports and academics, he also supports a number of charitable institutions. Second was singer Nikki Gil who is not only visible on television but also theater nowadays. Rising to fame after a soft drink commercial, Nikki is also a protector of the environment.

The third cast member is singer-songwriter Chito Miranda. Leading the band Parokya Ni Edgar, Chito positioned their band to be well-loved by Filipinos ever since the 90’s. Lastly, talented actress Iza Calzado completes the roster. Considered as a “triple threat,” Iza could fondly act, dance, and sometimes even sing.

The four faces of Uniqlo personify different individualities that are in line with Uniqlo’s message and philosophy, “Made for All.” Through them, Uniqlo wants Filipinos to know that there are clothes for everyone, no matter what personality they have.
