Ultimate EPL Kit Rankings: The Top 25

But now, 25-11:

I'm further abandoning the "why it sucks" segment because, frankly, nothing in the top 25 sucks.  Every kit has its ups and downs, sure.  Like this one, for instance, is blurry.  No Premiership club in recent memory has won with blurry kits.  It's just one of those unexplainable sports phenomena.
24. Tottenham Third

Spurs did pretty well for themselves in the kit department this year.  I'm always a fan of predominant-black, though I'll admit this template from Puma is lackluster.
23. Newcastle Third

The Newcastle Third kit gets the slight nod over the Tottenham third thanks to the diagonal, ghost stripes in the body of the shirt.  Good thing this ranking doesn't depend on usefulness, because this shirt would be dead last.  It utilizes the exact same color scheme as the home kit.
22. Wigan Away

I have a feeling this selection is going to draw some negative flack, but honestly I love this shirt.  The lime-green trim is a perfect complement to the navy(?) body, and it's paired with a matching shorts/socks combination which looks unique and bold on the pitch.

Alternating colors, cheques, side stripes, diagonal chest stripe.. this Croatia-inspired kit certainly has a lot going on.  But Lotto somehow managed to make it work.  I have a feeling the sponsor, when they eventually sign one, will push it over that fine line between bold and tacky, but for now it remains in the top 25.
20. Aston Villa Home

Villa were so, so close to pulling this thing off.  The claret and blue is classic, and the ghost cheques are a stupendous idea - though the execution is slightly less stupendous.  Perhaps an all white version?  I bet something like that would earn a higher spot in the rankings...
19. Norwich City AwayUltimate EPL Kit Rankings: The Top 25
Classy away shirt for the newly-promoted Canaries.  Shitty name, though.  No offense.
18. West Brom Home

I really should use a better picture for this shirt, I admit, because the best part about it is the back.
17. Stoke City Away
Ultimate EPL Kit Rankings: The Top 25

This shirt uses the exact same Adidas template as the West Brom Home, above.  The obvious difference is the color scheme, which apparently gave Stoke the nod.
16. Arsenal Home
Ultimate EPL Kit Rankings: The Top 25

Status quo for the Gunners.  I'm sure Arsenal fans appreciate the 125th anniversary crest, but the lack of the typical gold and blue accent colors make it look cheap, and the branches framing the frame is ugly and redundant.  I liked last year's kit better.  And the year's before.
15. Manchester United Home
Ultimate EPL Kit Rankings: The Top 25

I personally love this shirt, but I can admit it belongs on the outside of the top 10.  This is definitely a shirt designed for the pitch, as it is remarkably plain.  But as the saying goes, sometimes less is more.
14. Everton Home
Ultimate EPL Kit Rankings: The Top 25
Remember the elephants?  Well now they're on a much better design.  It's too bad Everton won't be able to afford to clothe their own athletes in this impressively simple kit.
13. Chelsea Home
Ultimate EPL Kit Rankings: The Top 25

I have some seriously conflicting emotions regarding this shirt.  I love the subtle, alternating blues across the front, but I hate the white backdrop on the shoulders.  Without them, Chelsea would easily have found all three of this year's kits in the top 10.
12. Swansea Home
Ultimate EPL Kit Rankings: The Top 25

This is the highest ranked template design on the list.. I'm pretty sure.  It is the perfect embodiment of the Swan - in fabric form.  My only complaint is the sponsor.  But what's new?
11. Bolton Away
Ultimate EPL Kit Rankings: The Top 25

Bolton need to completely forget about their home kit and wear this one instead.  All the time.  Forever.  Tell me you wouldn't be jacked to rock this look on the pitch.
