UGG Boutique Opening Party in Ginza - Tokyo

TOKYO - FashionTV brings you the latest fashion news from Tokyo and Japan in this edition of Tokyo Fashion News. First, FTV gets a look at the release of the Jotaro Saito kimono style collection for 2011-2012. "I wanted to capture the feeling of the current Heisei generation in my new collection," says designer Jotaro Saito of his new line, "It' like the new 'Japonism.'
 I want to make kimonos that are cool to this generation." The collection, which stamps kimonos as the new "It" fashion trend, includes a wide range of color combinations, python prints, and a new concept of plush stripes where stripes are added to patterned kimonos to create a dressy, fashionable style. Fabrics include silk, lame and even some denim. Next, the Miss Universe Japan final was recently held in Tokyo at the Tokyo Dome City Hall. Fifteen contestants displayed their talents in dance and swimsuit contests. They also gave speeches to the warm crowd. See this year's Japan representative for the Miss Universe pageant in Brazil! Finally, the UGG Australia footwear brand launched a new store in Ginza and welcomed its new collection of UGGs for the season with an opening reception bash. Check out the comfortable signature high-quality leather and suede UGG boots alongside some eye-catching gold sequined UGGs. Guests filled up the venue at the opening party and FTV was there to capture it all! Another party was also held nearby, featuring a talk show filled with celebrities and singer Anna Tsuchiya performed for the crowd.
