A few UDRP decisions and filing of note.

Google was awarded the domain name Blogger.pe by a one member panel in a lengthy decision

Taser International has brought a UDRP on taser.com.au and tasers.com.au

Sony has brought a UDRP on the domain name Sony.me which has been registered since August 5th 2008.

Not sure where Sony has been for the last soon to be 5 years while this domain has been parked and certainly could have saved itself a lot of time and money by registering the domain under the Sunrise period for .Me.

Swarovski Aktiengesellschaft filed it 162nd UDRP and 124th since 2012.
Swarovski has not lost a UDRP

Finally AOL, Inc. lost a UDRP for the domain name webmail-aol.us with the panel citing the company for failing to have made “a prima facie case that Respondent lacks rights and legitimate interests.”

“Complainant has not stated how the domain name is being used.  Complainant’s entire argument regarding Policy ¶ 4(a)(ii) consists of the following:

“Respondent has no rights or legitimate interests in the infringing domain name.  Respondent is not named or commonly known as AOL, nor is he licensed or authorized to use the AOL mark in this manner.”

“The Panel finds that the above argument does not satisfy Policy ¶ 4(a)(ii).

AOL has filed another UDRP against two domain names this week, aolsupport.co and aolphonenumber.com…
