Tyrese Gibson talked to E News on the gray carpet at yesterday’s BET Awards about his new wife, Samantha Lee Gibson. During the conversation Tyrese revealed that he had been a single for parent for about 3 1/2 years and that he decided that he had to marry his daughters’ example. The actor/singer also revealed on the carpet that he told his wife on their first date she was going to be his wife.

During the BET awards show, Tyrese presented the 2017 Fallen Stars tribute, and during his introduction shared some words of wisdom from his pastor.
“My pastor taught me that it’s arrogant to believe that the next seconds of life belong to you, so we should all find ourselves being grateful for every breath that the Lord Jesus Christ blesses us with.”
