Two tourist trains to operate from Kerala
Two tourist trains, operated by The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation, will run for the people of the State in the months of November and December. The first train will set out from Thiruvananthapuram at 6.30am on November 3 for Goa, Jaipur, Delhi, Agra and Hyderabad. The second train is scheduled to start from Thiruvananthapuram on November 30 on a 12 days journey to Gaya, Allahabad, Kolkata, Puri, Konark and Bhubaneswar.
The 12-day package costs Rs.6295, including food, accommodation and conveyance to tourist centres. 485 persons can travel on the train with seven coaches. Children up to the age of 11 years will be charged Rs. 4,700 and children below the age of four, Rs.500. Kerala food will be served and there will be a magician to entertain travellers. Associated Travels, a Kozhikode based travel agency is the booking agent of the programme in the state.
