Embarrassed and fed up with the Two-Party political system in America, this voter is switching Parties! Over the last 25 years, I have been registered as a Democrat, as well as a Republican (at this point a Republican). However, next election, I will be registering as an Independent. The American Two-Party system has turned our Great Country from Super Power to Super Circus; ruining our credit, reputation, and economy.

Both sides have their head so far up their own agenda, the voice of the People have gotten lost. Pitted against each other, the fighting and bickering has Democrat and Republican voters at each other’s throats. Republicans and the Tea Party shoving their “Grass Roots” beliefs down the throats of the Left. Democrats race-baiting and Class Warfare; ramming their beliefs down the throats of the Right. In the process, voters scramble to decipher between truth and rhetoric.

The brinkmanship in Congress, is a slide-of-hand method used to divert the attention of voters and confuse the ignorant. Peace and Democracy cannot be obtained in this manner. The bullying, breath-holding, and “my way or the hi-way” attitude only create a country of hate, bigotry, and resentment. All the while, fighting amongst ourselves, eyes off our government, America falls from Grace. To the World, we now look weak, unreliable, and confused. A People who cannot, and will not control their Government. It’s not the Government’s job to control us, but ours too control them. The People came first, then Government.

American Voters have forgotten their place in this Country! Not to mention their responsibility! We the People are in control of who occupy the seats of Government. Furthermore, if the Government Body we choose destroys the Foundation of America, We the People are responsible too! As Americans, we are a Free People. As such, we have great responsibility; not just to America, but to the World. Failing is not an option!
