Twitter for iOS Now Has a Mini Player to Watch Videos

Posted on the 22 August 2014 by Tftb @TFTB

Twitter App for iOS users now allows you to watch videos in a mini-player while browsing your timeline and reading other tweets. You might be familiar with similar feature in the YouTube App for Android which allows you to play any video in a mini-player which is by default set in the bottom right corner of the screen.

But this feature for videos in the Twitter for iOS only comes to videos which use the Twitter’s own in-app video player, these tweets which have a video are seen as a full-screen player with retweet, favorite and reply shortcuts when you press the play button on them. This means your regular YouTube Videos or short Vine videos won’t play the same way as these do in mini-player.

You can check these tweets to get a taste of the new mini-player

Note : This mini-player can only be seen if these tweets are accessed from the Twitter for iOS App.
