Twenty-Three Weeks

Twenty-Three Weeks
{Here I am, posting late again. I promise I'll get better at this.}

How far along? Twenty-three weeks and six days

Baby's size? Baby girl is the size of a mango.

Baby's nickname? We have finalized her name but we're not ready to share yet, most likely until we meet her.

Maternity clothes? Yes and I still love them very much! Exercise? One of our dog's, Jaxon, had to have a toe amputated this week so I have been on house arrest with him. He has to be monitored 24 hours a day to make sure he doesn't run, jump or lick his wound.

Sleep: Sleep was awful again this week. We've had the dogs in our room so we can make sure Jax isn't licking his wound at night {he HATES wearing a cone}. I used to wake up five times to pee in the middle of the night. Now I wake up five times to pee and another five times to check on him.

Best moment this week: Probably when I was able to go grocery shopping after my husband got home from work. I love being at home but when you're at home all day every day, even the littlest thing like grocery shopping is amazing!!!

Miss anything? Same as last week - just a good night's sleep.

Movement: She is definitely moving more and more each week. Some mornings right when we wake up, I feel her move. I'm wondering if that's because she can hear our voices now. She also moves a lot after I eat. Must love food like mommy. And still at night, I feel her moving all around when I'm laying down to go to sleep. Stephen was able to feel a little movement this week when he put his hand on my belly. And I'm still waking up with sore ribs from her kicking me all night. Food cravings: I ate a lot of eggs this week! Banana pudding with Nilla Wafers also sounded good. I couldn't bring myself to buy the Nilla Wafers because they were $5 an the banana pudding ended up tasting like lemon so I didn't really get my fix but oh well.
Anything making you queasy or sick: No, just still sore in places she's been kicking.

Gender: GIRL!

Symptoms: Acne, of course. And just overall feeling sore in my ribs and my back.
Wedding rings on or off? Still on
Happy or moody most of the time: I've generally been happy. Only moody when I lose sleep.

Looking forward to: My next doctor's appointment. I was supposed to have one this week but I had to reschedule since I couldn't leave Jax alone.

Still no stretch marks. Either they're coming or I'll be extremely lucky. I don't think my mom ever had any stretch marks and it's hereditary so maybe I'll just be extremely lucky. I've also been using cocoa butter on my belly since I found out I was pregnant.
