Twenty-Four Weeks

Twenty-Four Weeks
How far along? Twenty-four weeks and six days. I can not believe tomorrow I will be twenty-five weeks!

Baby's size? Baby girl is the size of a GI Joe.

Baby's nickname? We call her by her name at home and we refer to her as 'baby girl' with other people.

Maternity clothes? Yes and I still love them very much! Exercise? Lots of cleaning around the house. I count that as exercise.

Sleep: Sleep was awful six of the seven nights this week. I ordered Jax a soft cone in hopes of him tolerating it. He was totally fine with it until it was time to go to bed. Then he wouldn't stay in his bed and he'd wander around and hit things because, you know, he was wearing a cone. We tried putting him in his crate and then he just whined and whined. Finally just barricaded them off in their beds in the dining room. Lots of hours of sleep were lost. We have a sliding glass door in our master bedroom and my dad came by yesterday to install shutters on that window. We've only ever had blinds. I went to sleep last night at 9:30 {dogs were in the dining room again} and didn't wake up until 6am to use the restroom. This was AMAZING! I haven't slept through the night in MONTHS. I felt so refreshed this morning.

Best moment this week: Sleeping more than eight hours in a row! I also just saw my stomach move when she kicked. Made me so happy! Oh, and someone told me today that I don't look like I'm having a baby in May. I laughed but that made me feel good.

Miss anything? I was really missing margaritas this week, especially when I was having trouble sleeping. Tequila used to help me sleep so well. My husband bought me a bottle of margarita mix and I made a virgin one at home.
Movement: So much movement! She kicks all day long now. Mostly after I've eaten. The other night I pushed on my stomach just to see if she'd kick back and she did. That was fun to feel. Food cravings: I ate a lot of protein pancakes this week. I still haven't had any major "I've got to have this now" cravings. I wonder if I'll ever have any of those.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.

Gender: GIRL!

Symptoms: My acne has gotten a little better this week, which makes me very happy. Friday night I had terrible round ligament or Braxton Hicks - may have been a mixture of both. I was in so much pain. I had to hunch over when I walked. I've also had really sore ribs. Mostly my right side but a little on the left as well. My friend told me she'd hate the cold so I should try frozen veggies on my ribs. That helped some but not completely. I've heard this just gets worse and worse as time goes on so I'm bracing myself.
Wedding rings on or off? Still on
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy, especially when Stephen came home with cute little onesies. He came home with baby clothes a few weeks ago too. Not sure I wrote about that in the blog. I haven't bought her any clothes but daddy keeps finding her things. Melts my heart.

Looking forward to: My doctor's appointment on Monday. And now that it's February, I'm looking forward to my birthday! I also need to finish up our baby registry because my baby shower is next month! So exciting!

Twenty-Four Weeks

My mom and I had lunch with a former regional manager from the bank. She brought me these beautiful clothes for the baby. One set is 0-3 months and the other set is 3-6 months. I thought that was so thoughtful of her! These are our colors and she had no idea!
