Turkish Vibes

By Tanvi Rastogi @tanviidotcom

I have been watching a lot of movies lately. Some in the cinemas and some on Netflix. For some reason, most of the films leave me with the same thought - how most people's lives are simply dependent on which family / race / ethnicity they were born to. We like to think we have control over our destiny. And we do. But only from the point of birth. Fifty percent of our destiny is decided for us simply by the virtue of which household we take birth into. It doesn't seem like a fair deal to me.

Another thought most of these movies have left me with is "How lucky I have been in life!" The family I was born into, the education I got, the exposure i received, the life partner I chose, and the good health and fortune I have - I am grateful for each one of these things. I never take any of this for granted. I do not know why I received these privileges in life but I am ever-so- thankful and grateful for them all.

P.S. If you have Netflix, and haven't watched these Hindi movies, do watch them:

1. Margarita with a straw

Moving on to the outfit. This is another one from the fabulous trip to Istanbul, Turkey. It was an ideal weather for light layers. This is another coat that I bought there.
