Written by Justin Tanner, the play is titled Day Drinkers. It centers on a dive bar in downtown Los Angeles, and the love lives (or lack thereof) of its patrons and owners. According to reviews, it really delivers — you’ll have an excellent time watching the stories unfold, and get plenty of laughs. Les Spindle of Backstage says Lowe plays his role “excellently”, and Steven Leigh Morris of LA Weekly calls the play Tanner’s “best comedy in years”. The show opened August 27, 2011, at the Odyssey Theater in Los Angeles.
