Travel Wishlist: Morocco

Travel Wishlist: Morocco
There are various places in the world that I want to visit. Ever since as a child, I have been fascinated with stone houses and arab+african decoratives. I think, this is perfectly put into one country - Morocco.
Morocco was first introduced to me as a child. The Muslims of Mindanao were called Moros by the Spaniards, thus, retained until today. The reason why the Spaniards calls us so is because they have a similar comparison of our beliefs, tradition and culture with the Muslims in Morocco. If you visit Philippines, you sure would hear a lot of Bangsa Moro (Moro Nation) especially with the presence of the Bangsamoro Agreement.
Anyway, going back to Morocco.
I've done a little research of the said country. And here are some spots to head on when I get myself there.
1. Marrakech - Djemaa El-Fna
Travel Wishlist: Morocco
It is a major city in the northwest African nation of Morocco. In this city, you will find the Djemaa El-Fna which is the top tourist spot in the said country. By day, it is a convergence of those snake charmers and people with monkeys. However, as the day comes to an end, the food stalls start to fill in.
So take note to go to Djemaa El-Fna at dusk.
2. Chefchaouen
Travel Wishlist: Morocco
I have always loved white stone houses arranged in such an orderly manner like those in Greece. Since I am more into Islamic culture, Chefchaouen is a much better option. It is a gorgeous mountain city in northeastern Morocco, set against the dramatic backdrop of the Rif Mountains, is filled with white-washed homes with distinctive, powder-blue accents. In this place you will find a great shopping experience. That - I am looking forward to.
3. Erg Chebbi  Travel Wishlist: Morocco When you go to Africa, be sure to step on the Sahara. An that's the best thing about going to Morocco. You can experience the beauty of the dunes of Erg Chebbi which is a part of the Sahara. The awe-inspiring dunes are as high as 150 meters tall, and one certainly feels small in their shadows. Erg Chebbi special feature is its beautiful unique orange colored sand.
4. Ait Benhaddou Travel Wishlist: Morocco If you are more into the ancient Islamic Africa, then Ait Benhaddou is most likely the best option to spend the vacation. It is one of Ouarzazate’s fortified cities along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech. In fact, this magnificent place has been featured in several movies already.
5. Fes el Bali   Travel Wishlist: Morocco Done with all the polution and automobiles in the cities, Fes el Bali boasts as the largest carfree city in the world. It s a nearly intact medieval city.Transports of goods is provided by donkeys, carriages, and motorbikes. The entire medina is surrounded by high walls with a number of historic city gates. A number of shops and restaurants have a rooftop terrace which is a great way to escape the bustling streets.
Isn't Morocco such a beauty? It is a mixture of all things that makes me happy. Ma sha Allaah, I would love to go and live there. ^^
I would blog more about beautiful places in the world, in sha Allaah, of course, those that I want to travel to. ^____^
Toodles,
K
