This past weekend, my friends and I set out on an adventure through the Swiss Alps. We originally had an intended destination, but due to our poor navigation and time management, we scratched our plan and just explored like true pioneers. After a few hours spent admiring the ins and outs of the mountains from the windows of the trains, we discovered the mountainous area of Andermatt, Switzerland. I had only previously heard of Andermatt in terms of it being a popular ski resort, but we were able to see it outside of ski season (although, we did spot some snow!!) It was my friend Dani's 19th birthday, so we naturally took heaps of photos and had a relatively low key day. Once we returned from our day-trip, we cooked pasta and suspect brownies to continue the celebration. While I mostly gave words of encouragement and danced along to the Frank Sinatra we were playing, I can't help but say how delicious the meal was, especially after a long day of traveling. Yay for being domestic!!
Somehow, someway, midterms are next week and I'm not really sure how to feel about it. A part of me wants to be relaxed and pretend that my exams will be fairly easy, and the rest of me knows that I need to prepare a substantial amount. To top it off, it is highly likely that I have bronchitis (aka the reason I slept for 11 hours last night...11 HOURS!!) That's where I'm at in terms of health and stress.
