TRACY MORGAN THANKS GOD DURING PRESS FOR ‘THE LAST O.G.’ WITH TIFFANY HADDISH

‘The Last O.G.’ stars, Tracy Morgan and Tiffany Haddish were on hand for the TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour in Beverly Hills on yesterday (Thursday).  Morgan thanked God for being able to return to T.V. and Haddish reflected on her successful role in Girls Trip,”I’m happy! I’ve been accepted finally, after all these years of hard work, blood, sweat and tears.”

“Thank God.”

Tiffany Haddish was asked questions about her rising star after the success of Girls Trip:

“I feel like a foster kid who’s been in the system for a long time and then turned 16 and somebody adopted them and said, ‘You can go to college and you ain’t got to pay no school loans or nothing,’ ” she said of how she’s been feeling in the wake of the film’s superb box office. “I’m happy! I’ve been accepted finally, after all these years of hard work, blood, sweat and tears.”

Tiffany also made it clear that the checks haven’t started rolling in just yet:

“My bank account, it don’t show movie star yet. I’m waiting on it. They say nine months; it’s like a baby. I’m waiting for the delivery.”

Morgan ended with sharing that his co-stars are making sure he’s taking care of himself:

“They make sure I sit down… they don’t ask me, they [say] sit down for a little while. So I’m good. I’m taken care of by my people, and I love them with my heart.”

About ‘The Last O.G.’

In The Last O.G., Morgan plays Tray, an ex-con released after a 15-year prison stint who’s a fish out of water in his old Brooklyn neighborhood. His former girlfriend Shay (Tiffany Haddish) is now married to a white guy (Ryan Gaul), and is raising the twins Tray fathered but didn’t know about. And Cedric the Entertainer plays Miniard Mullins, who heads the halfway house where Tray stays and helps him transition back to society.

The show premieres on TBS, Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 10/9c with back-to-back episodes, and then airs weekly at 10:30 pm.
