TPG Mobile Broadband

Posted on the 26 December 2011 by Prepaidplans @prepaidplans

TPG have finally launched their mobile broadband plans called TPG Go Mobile Broadband. The plans are no contract month to month plans and can be purchased as BYO or with a USB modem for an additional $50.

To get started, the sim will set you back $20 and a further $20 for a deposit (which you receive when you leave). Then you have a monthly commitment based on how much data you wish to use. TPG uses the Optus network.

Before we get into the actual monthly costs, TPG uses per KB increments when it measures your usage, any additional data is charged at a competitive rate of 2.75c/MB.

The plans start at just $5 per month offering 500MB, then for $10 each month you get 1GB, $16 for 2GB, $25 for 5GB and $35 for 9GB. These are pretty competitive particularly at the lower end.

Remember they are monthly plans, so you have a recurring charge until you end the contract, which you can at any time.
