I'm not very optimistic about remakes at the best of times but I'm even less optimistic when the trailer does nothing for me. Total Recall is a classic film that doesn't really need the remake treatment. I watched the trailer out of curiosity and I couldn't help feel that I had seen it all before from the over the top CGI to the use of such science fiction cliches as hover cars and slow motion fights a la Matrix. Seriously, if Hollywood insists on remaking film that are barely 20 years old they should at least reinvent the material at hand in some way. I shouldn't judge until I have seen the film but I think I'll go with my gut instinct on this one. Anyway, check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.
