Tory Burch Beauty Collaboration with Estee Lauder

Tory Burch will be extending her fashion empire and breaking into the lucrative beauty business. In partnership with the Estee Lauder, Burch’s new cosmetics range will include a lipstick in pink-nude, a duo-purpose lip and cheek tint, a bronzer-blush palette and a retractable face brush.

The expansion of the Tory Burch line has been long in coming: Burch told the trade she’d been in talks with Estee Lauder, which is producing the scent, for five years, first inking a deal with the family’s fragrance division in 2011. And according to Lauder exec Veronique Gabai-Pinsky, this is only the beginning of Tory Burch Beauty. “It’s really a launch of a new brand,” she said. “We’re starting to build a foundation of a multicategory beauty company.”

The new Tory Burch Beauty Line will be exclusively available at Bloomingdales, Tory Burch Boutiques, online at toryburch.com, and at Hot Renfrew on September 26th with an early pre-book just before NYFW on the 6th of September.

The creation of Tory Burch the fragrance was a family affair in every sense. The retro-looking gold and orange packaging was inspired by Burch’s mother’s collection of vintage perfume bottles, while the eaux de parfum itself–a “tomboy meets feminine” blend of vetiver, citrus, and florals–is a nod to her late father’s signature scent, as well as her brothers’,  with opening notes of grapefruit, pink pepper, cassis, mandarin, neroli and a heart of peony, mimosa, jasmine, tuberose, and carrot seed.

The fragrance dries with notes like vetiver, white musk, and sandalwood. Both Burch and Estée Lauder are careful to clarify that this isn’t just another designer fragrance, but the beginnings of an entire brand.

The Tory Burch Beauty, Bath & Body, Perfume, and Beauty Collection will become available at the end of September (09/26/2013 to be exact) much to the excitement of fans everywhere.
