Now, I’m not usually that big on quotes.  But recently I was thinking about how difficult this whole blogging thing can be.  There is so much to consider, think about, and implement.  And then there are those seasons in the life of a blogger when adversity, failure, and hardships seem to be the only things we encounter. It may feel like you can’t catch a break. Sometimes you may feel like you just want to quit.  While it’s easy to feel discouraged or frustrated, it doesn’t have to get you down.  Therefore, I have scoured the web searching for encouragement and want to share with you these quotes that I found to inspire your blogging.

  • “Don’t focus on having a great blog. Focus on producing a blog that’s great for your readers.” (Brian Clark)
  • “I’ve discovered (the hard way) three rules for writing a blog post that will spread: Don’t use unfamiliar words or concepts; Avoid subtlety; Try not to challenge deeply held beliefs.” (Seth Godin)
  • “The currency of blogging is authenticity and trust… you pay folks to blog about a product and you compromise that. I would almost care about this, but it’s so obvious to everyone that this is either a joke or an idiot that there is nothing more to say.” (Jason Calacanis)
  • “As I have repeatedly written in one form or other, blogging is not about writing posts. Heck, that’s the least of your challenges. No, blogging is about cultivating a mutually beneficial relationships with an ever-growing online readership, and that’s hard work.” (Alister Cameron)
  • “Blogging is good for your career. A well-executed blog sets you apart as an expert in your field.” (Penelope Trunk)
  • “In at least one way we are atypical bloggers. That’s because we just keep on posting. The typical blogger, like most people who go on diets and budgets, quits after a few months, weeks, or in many cases, days.” (Stephen J. Dubner)
  • “Sometimes adversity is what you need to face in order to become successful.” (Zig Ziglar)
  • “The greater the obstacle, the more glory in overcoming it.” (Moliere)
  • “Your ultimate consumers are your users, not search engines.” (Google’s SEO Starter Guide)
  • “There are tons of different factors that go into ranking well, but the biggest is high-quality content.” (David Sinick)

I hope these quotes have encouraged you today in knowing that failure, adversity, and hardships are a crucial part of a blogger’s journey. They can be instrumental in creating opportunities for learning and success.
