Blogging can be a wonderful and exciting experience, but sadly as in real life, you will come across someone who does not agree with you, does not like you and will criticize the way you say or do things. You must learn to accept that one size does not fit all and you cannot please everyone.
I have found that the best way to deal with negativity from other bloggers is to become a snake. While you do not have to dress up in some creative scaly costume, you do need to learn to shed your skin and grow a thicker one to replace it.
2 – Write Killer Headlines
You have very few minutes to capture a potential reader’s attention, use your time and limited space well. Create a blog title that will stand out, get noticed and grab attention. With so many bloggers updating their posts to Twitter, why should they read yours? If a reader finds your blog do your posts titles make them want to read it?
You can easily change your words around to create killer headlines. Play with the words and see which one works best. You can tweet a variation of the headline to Twitter and other social media sites and watch the results.
3- Use A Call To Action To Receive Comments
Not everyone will leave a comment after reading your blog post; some do not have time, are using a mobile that does not offer this function or simply they do not know what comment to leave. By creating a call to action at the end of your posts, you are opening up an opportunity, your inviting your readers to comment.
A call to action could be asking your readers opinion on the post they have just what. Ask your readers a question. Your readers will be more eager to leave a comment if they feel involved and needed. Ask them their opinion and ask them to tell you about it.
4 – Write Posts That Help
Why do we search the internet? To find answers of course. If we have a problem we know we can search Google and find it. By provide helpful posts that answer a question or solve a problem, you are initially helping others.
We all need help at times and it can be daunting to feel you are doing something wrong. It’s great to find and read that someone else is facing the same dilemma too. Whatever struggle or problem you are currently dealing with, you can rest assured that someone else is facing the same, so write about it and help others in the process.
5- Network & Socialise To Double Your Blog Traffic
There is nothing worse than publishing your latest blog post to find that nobody has read it. Writing great posts is only the start, you have to get out there and get your post noticed. Unless you’re a SEO whizz then you may find it difficult to direct traffic to your blog.
Twitter and Facebook and other social networks can easily double your normal blog traffic. The key secret to social networking is to socialise and network well. All you have to do is talk and meet others, very simple, yet can create amazing results for your blog.
