Top 5 Dallas Events for July 2014

By Ohsocynthia @OhSoCynthia
I can't believe we are already halfway through Summer!! Where does the time go? I hope you have filled the past few weeks with fun getaways, picnics in the park, evening strolls and trips to the pool. The lazy days of Summer may be upon us, but just because things have slowed down, doesn't mean there's nothing to do. On the contrary, July brings one of my most favorite holidays, Independence Day! I love a good pool party complete with hot dogs and burgers, slushy cocktails and ending the day with an amazing fireworks show. This year, I'm taking my family to the Four Seasons for a fabulous staycation. Come out and join us!! Whatever you do, I hope you'll join me in raising a glass around sunset as the first fireworks start to explode with magnificent color and let's all cheers to living in the greatest Country on Earth. God Bless America!

love, Cynthia

MOMO ITALIAN KITCHEN WINE CLUB DINNER

Top 5 Dallas Events for July 2014 I don't really know much about wine, except that I like to drink a lot of it. Thankfully, Momo's offers a wine club dinner experience once a month that's relaxed, fun and informative. The wines selected are affordable and can be purchased at any major liquor store around town.
Join the wine club for $5 and you can attend their monthly dinners (max. 20 people per event). Each event includes the two sommeliers, leaving 18 spots available for other club members.  Wine is paid for online prior to the event and then the night of the wine club dinner, your food bill is paid for at Momo's. "I try to keep the price around $25 per person for wine and dinner is around $40 or $45 depending on the courses (usually 5)," says Sommelier Mike Lanese.   "For the wine, I just try to estimate the number of guests and divide it into the wine cost so that it is break even. I have been averaging $20 to $25 per bottle so that is what gets passed along to the customer." So, you are basically looking at about $65-70 per person for a 5-course dinner with wine pairings.
Momo Italian Kitchen is located at 8989 Forest Ln #130, Dallas, TX 75243, (972) 234-6800.
