Theophilus London quite obviously has a good ear when it comes to electronic music. As you might have seen recently on our blog, we have been featuring a few remixes off Theophilus’ remix album Timez Are Weird These Nights. Well I decided to find and feature each remix just for you (with the exception of Disco Pusher’s remix; it is no where to be found unfortunately). On this album you’ll find a great remix from Brodinski, showing off his French influence through his music. Fred Falke pumps out house banger with a side of funk. Maybe the biggest surprise of the album is The Bloody Beetroots remix. It’s still an AWESOME remix, but it’s a bit different than what you’d expect. Think of it as a Bloody Beetroots nu-disco revival with a great baseline. The Crookers remix is obviously one of the better tunes. Sahy Uhns has a great bass driven remix that moves slowly but is very catchy. And finally Skream’s remix is a stand out. The only drum and bass track on the album, and “I Stand Alone” is already a great tune, Skream just gives it a sped up feel. Hopefully you enjoy some of these tracks if not all of them, but if you’re really into these tracks, purchase this album!
