Thumper-- and We're Not Talkin' About the Rabbit From Bambi...

By Petslady @petslady

Horses kind of scare me.  Sure, I've been on a horse many times and enjoyed it.  But they're just so... big.  And the concept of climbing on top of something that could easily crush my skull with one kick makes me a bit nervous.

With this in mind, I can't help but think that it is an important thing to keep your horse happy.

See? Doesn't that horse look happy?

If you're into horses, you know how important it is to rub them down after a ride.  Massaging a horse is hard work.  This is where the Thumper Equine Professional Massager comes into play.

Designed by a chiropractor, use of the Thumper EPM improves circulation and nutrition of joints, helps reduce inflamation, and improves muscle tone.  It also prevents the build-up of toxins brought on by intense activity and/or injury while speeding up the healing process.

Unlike other massagers, Thumper does not pinch the horse (unless used improperly).  This is due, in part, to the anatomically positioned massage spheres that are positioned vertically and downwards to efficiently reach the muscles being treated.  This design causes the Thumper to "thump" the muscles instead of rubbing them like other massagers.

And, here's a bonus: it can be used on humans as well.  I don't know about you, but I like my massages to be of the industrial sort; in other words, I want to ache by the time it is over.  I suspect the Thumper would do that...

The downside of this product is the price: anywhere from $340 to $455.  While this is a bit steep, the ease of use and the possible benefits of this massager may just be worth it.
