I always hear people brag about the number of friends they have on Facebook, some has several hundreds as well as others with thousands. Statistics show that the average Facebook user has over 230 friends on their account. Although, it’s not a secret that those people never even talks to most of those so-called “friends.” 28-year-old Daniel Shaw is definitely not one of them. He is a big fan of Facebook and is loyal to all the friends on his account. Which is exactly why he has vowed to travel around the world to meet all 730 of his FB friends within a year.
According to The Telegraph, Shaw has already met 129 of his Facebook friends ever since he was challenged by his cousin back in August 2013. ”He said to me ‘you’ve got so many Facebook friends, but surely you don’t know them all?’ so I thought about it and then it turned into this challenge,” Shaw explained his journey. ”It’s been great going around and meeting up with old friends and proving him wrong.”

Shaw still has a long way to go to complete his challenge. He has to at least meet with two people a day to complete the challenge within the time period and will have to travel all the way over to countries like Japan and Australia as well. Even though he’s low on funding for the travel bill , Shaw is willing to take a risk on his journey to meet his Facebook friends while raising funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MDNA).
