Thirty-Seven Weeks

Thirty-Seven Weeks
How far along? Thirty-seven weeks and six days.

Baby's size? Baby is the size of a honeydew melon this week.

Baby's nickname? We call her baby, baby girl and Acacia.

Maternity clothes? Yes, mostly wearing all maternity clothes. A few pre-pregnancy tops still fit but not many.Exercise? Walking and chores around the house, as always, and that's enough for me at this point.
Sleep: Same as usual. Going to bed in the 9 o'clock hour. Getting out of bed in the 7 o'clock hour. But typically waking up for a few hours in the middle of the night. I just lay there or play on my phone.

Best moment this week: I had quite a few good moments this week. I was able to get a prenatal massage {my first massage ever} thanks to my bosses. It was actually one of my birthday gifts but I saved it until now. It was so nice and now I'm going to be addicted to massages. I was also able to get my hair trimmed. I can't remember that last time I had my hair trimmed. Probably last Summer at some point. We got our maternity photos back and I LOVE them! {Photos in my next post.} My parents came over and helped me get all of Acacia's wall decor up. {Photos of nursery in future blog post.} Our doggy gate came in. I've never wanted a doggy gate. I didn't want to be one of those people but so far, I'm loving it. It will come in handy when the baby comes along. AND I met with my midwife and she gave me a few options for delivery if baby girl doesn't come on her own. I was still measuring at thirty-seven weeks today. The chances of me having an almost twelve pound baby {like I was} are very small.
Miss anything? Margaritas again. I made myself a virgin one but it just wasn't the same.

Movement: So much movement!

Food Cravings: Sandwiches and sweets. I ate a lot of sandwiches this week. Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.

Gender: GIRL!

Symptoms: Acid reflux is getting bad. Tums are becoming my best friend. And my acne is coming back with a vengeance. It's terrible again. I had a really bad headache on Friday night and it didn't go away until the next morning. I woke up early Tuesday morning thinking I was in labor. I was having contractions but they ended up being over an hour apart so I knew I wasn't actually in labor. But I also heard our door bell twice that night. Once around 1:45 am and again around 3 am. I couldn't tell if I was dreaming but my dogs didn't bark so I assumed I was dreaming. It was very odd. I read online that dreaming about door bells could mean you're welcoming a new adventure.

Wedding rings on or off? On Sunday we went to church for my friend's baby's blessing. During the service, Stephen was looking at my wedding ring on my finger and he didn't like how tight it looked. That night, he asked me to take it off. It took a while to get off and he said I shouldn't wear it again until after the baby is here. It's so weird not having a wedding ring on!

Happy or moody most of the time? Happy! Looking forward to: Meeting our baby girl!

My belly at thirty-seven weeks. Everyone still says that I look small for thirty-seven weeks. I think it's because I'm tall. She's able to stretch out more. And I can't believe how long my hair is!
