Thirsty Thursday: Purple People Eater

By Raymondleejewelers @raymondleejwlrs

Well, it’s happy hour, despite what the foreboding snow clouds outside my window are saying. For a transplanted Floridian, you need to forgive me, but the phrase “Happy Hour” still conjures images of swaying palm trees, an ocean breeze (or ripples in the pool at The Colony), and wedges and a sun dress. So while faux fur vests are incredibly adorable and cabernet (along with its warming effect) is, indeed, my grown up beverage of choice, happy hour by a fireplace still feels weird. Especially in the week leading up to the day we honor prints, sunshine and white after Labor Day. That’s right, it’s Lilly Pulitzer’s birthday soon, and the whole of Monogrammers Anonymous (can’t exist, initials everywhere) are gearing up to celebrate. So today’s cocktails won’t be seasonally appropriate, not sorry. First, what we’re drinking:

Acai Caipirinha

via Ocean Drive

This acai caipirinha has so many antioxidants it’s basically like drinking a $14 bottle of raw juice. And with all those limes and a hint of mint it’s got to be at least 3 additional servings of fruits & veggies. Healthy, it’s what we are. You can either mix it up yourself, using this recipe, or head to Sushi Samba if you’re in MIA and I am so very, very jealous of you. Now, for what we’re donning.

Amethyst Cocktail RIng with Diamonds

Running with the purple cocktail theme, we’re rocking this amazing 14 karat white gold and diamond amethyst cocktail ring. The center stone is gorgeous, clean, and vibrantly royal purple, and the .75ctw of accent diamonds don’t hurt one bit. And for what we’re dressing in? Lilly, of course. Just let me live in my warm daydreams until I can make like a snowbird and escape to Boca and wear all my loudest prints to work. Just let it happen, and wish me all the warmth my Canada Goose can offer. Yes it’s only November, and yes I’m already wearing a parka.
