Thirsty Thursday: Mojito + Mother of Pearl

By Raymondleejewelers @raymondleejwlrs

It’s time to get tropical. And not tropical like the tropical storms we’ve been experiencing oh, every single day in South Florida. Back in my day it would rain at 3pm every day in the summer, and return to business/sunshine as usual by 5pm. Not so now that I’m back in the “sunshine” state. but whatever, it’s Thursday, it’s happy hour, and we can all drink like it’s sunny. Enter this mango cilantro mojito. Now, I realize that cilantro is a highly divisive herb, and that many individuals feel it might be the direct botanical descendant of satan, but I’m partial to it. And it’s optional, so omit if you must.

Mango Mojito

This fabulous recipe comes from A House in The Hills, and it’s got all the makings of a classic mojito with a twist, thanks to the cilantro/mint swap. Of course, you need something equally beachy to cocktail around your hand. This seashell motif mother of pearl fan ring certainly fits the bill. With a vaguely Art Deco motif, this ring is reminiscent of an old school bathing beauty black and white film.
