Plot: Singer/songwriter and single mother Theresa McDermott has finally hit the end of the line in NYC. Unable to make ends meet, she is forced to pack up her life and her 3 girls and move back to the small town and parents she ran from a decade ago. Teresa needs a job, her parents need their space and a family tragedy that was never dealt with from years past needs closure. Old wounds, unattainable dreams and a few other things expose themselves as a fractured family works to become whole and a single mom, a responsible mother.

Verdict: Solid Charming Drama
Story: Theresa is a Mother starts Theresa McDermott (Press) a singer songwriter who is trying to make it in New York City, but she is struggling with money and along with her three young girls she faces the decision of having to move back with her parents. Given no options Theresa has to return to her parents Cloris (McClurg) and Roy (Poe) whose lives have moved on since she left.
One agreement for Theresa moving back would be to get herself a job and leave her musical dreams on the back burner. Moving back brings back the memories of her own personal tragedy.
Theresa is a Mother brings us one of those charming little life stories, it all works well to show how sometimes things don’t always go right and that you will have to give up on dreams to supporting family. I liked how the personal tragedy wasn’t forced down our throats and shows how it will affect the people involved forever without it holding the people back. This is a very charming story that works but sadly it won’t become a true stand out one. (6/10)
Actor Review
C Fraser Press: Theresa is the aspiring musicians whose dreams have to be put on hold while she looks after her three children by moving back with her parents. She has to find a job while trying to continue her career while also trying to give her parents the space they have become fond off. C Fraser does a good job in the leading role showing how she is trying to keep everything together. (7/10)
Edie McClurg: Cloris is the mother of Theresa who has become scared to leave the house, very religious but also likes to hold her own parties for the locals. Edie does a solid job but I don’t think we explore her characters issues enough. (6/10)
Richard Poe: Roy is the father of Theresa who has been dealing with his own problems since the childhood tragedy with the family. He tries to push Theresa into making more of her life. Richard also does a solid job without getting to the bottom of his problems. (6/10)
Support Cast: Theresa is a Mother has as a supporting cast that mostly includes the children that all have their own issues they are facing while growing up.
Director Review: C Fraser Press, Darren Press – The pair give us a good directed film that keeps us interested in where the characters will be going. (7/10)
Comedy: Theresa is a Mother has a light use of comedy while it doesn’t turn to over the tp comedy. (7/10)
Drama: Theresa is a Mother show family dramas that show where the characters are going and have been. (9/10)
Music: Theresa is a Mother has good use of music from the characters finishing off very strong. (8/10)
Settings: Theresa is a Mother makes most of the film be set in a small town where everyone knows each other which works for the change the main family have to deal with. (8/10)
Suggestion: Theresa is a Mother is one to try, I think you have to be a fan of this type of drama to truly enjoy this though. (Ty It)

Worst Part: Not enough looking into the parents issues.
Believability: This could easily be a true story that someone has to go through. (7/10)
