The World’s Top 10 Best Themed Fish Tanks

There comes a time in life when every parent has to go through something that makes us very proud to be parents. The other day it was my turn. My little boy asked if he could have a gold fish! His very first gold fish! It is a big moment in his life and one that makes me happy to be a his father. So I got onto Swell UK fish tanks and brought a cool Peppa Pig themed aquarium (Because he loves Peppa), but how does it stack up against other themed aquariums? Lets find out….

The World’s Top 10 Best Themed Fish Tanks

..

10 – Star Wars: Naboo

Sure it is not so much an Aquarium, more a Sea Monkeys tank, but it is still themed. It looks amazing, but you just know it is not even half as big as you think it is going to be and that can be very disappointing for a child’s first pet tank.

House Themed Aquarium

9 – Fish Tank House

Now I am all for trying to make a gold fish as happy as I can, with some plants, stones and a touch of theming, but to make them their very own house as a theme is something that I would never do despite how funny it looks.

Spongebob Themed Aquarium

8 – Spongebob

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? Well in this case it is someone’s fish! I really like this is while you can’t buy it, you could just buy the things a place them inside the tank. But I would maybe check with a Aquarium expert before doing that.

Pirate Themed Aquarium

7 – Pirates

This theme makes perfect sense! With a pirate figurine and a full on ghost ship galleon in the tank as well it looks amazing, but how much would it all cost is the big question! But I am sure not matter what sea life you placed inside of it they would love it!

Donkey Kong Themed Aquarium

6 – Donkey Kong

What I love about this tank is that there is no expensive theming, just great use of some basic tank decorations and a perfectly framed background image! Sometimes it is not all the things you place inside of the tank, but the background theme that gives it the impression of theming. And it does have to be said that this one work really well indeed.

Bamboo Forest Themed Aquarium

5 – Bamboo Forest

Going for the planted theme tank is a really good option. It not only looks natural, the internal and external ambience of it is worth all the effort alone, let alone how it looks! The only probably I can see here is that some plants can be deadly for certain fish so it would take a lot of know-how or an awful lot of questions to pull it off.

Doctor Who Themed Fish Tank

4 – Doctor Who

I want this fish tank now! But sadly it is just an idea at the moment but apparently it might well become very real soon. (just not yet) But for any Dr Who fan it would be a great idea and one that I am sure a lot of kids will love as well.

Dagobah Frog Habitat Themed Aquarium

3 – Star Wars: Naboo scene

While being a Star Wars fan I do love this, but sadly given the fact that it is only big enough for up to 2 tadpoles for the price it is a bit of a rip-off! But maybe you could ditch the tadpoles and just buy a squid and call him Admiral Ackbar!

Super Mario Themed Aquarium

2 – Super Mario

This jaw dropping fish tank is sadly a one off, but the good news is that there is a full on making guide if you fancy having a go yourself! But me being a nerd I bet you are all wondering what could possibly be better than this? Well there is just one thing….

Peppa Pig Themed Aquarium

1 –  Peppa Pig

Any parent would know why I made this number 1, because to my little boy this is the most grown up, adult thing I have ever let him have. The tank is massive, great value and themed enough to create the illusion of fish in a Peppa pig world and the filter keeps the water crystal clear so he can see his fish. So is it any good? Well to my little boy it was perfect, and the best fish tank in the whole wide world, and that is good enough for me.
