The Worlds Most Inspiring Hikes

One of the best things about hiking is the stunning beauty that hiking trails offer. Taking a walk in the wilderness is always an exercise in inspiration. Of course, some hiking trails are more beautiful than others. Here is a look at the most beautiful and inspiring hiking trails from around the world.

Mount Kailash Pilgrimage

Located in Tibet, Mount Kailash is one of the most sacred sites in the world. The mountain is considered to be sacred to five religions. The peak of the mountain is thought to be the spot where the Hindu god Shiva sits to meditate. Its holiness has made it one of the few big Himalayan peaks that have never been climbed. There is a stunningly beautiful 32-mile hike around the base of the mountain that offers views of lakes, waterfalls, rivers, caves and the mountain itself.

Sentiero Azzuro

This beautiful hiking trail in Italy is one of the most popular in Europe. The crowds can be a bit annoying at times, but the view is well worth it. This seven-mile trail connects five villages that sit perched on cliffs along the Mediterranean Sea. The stunning views of the beautiful water are why this trail is known as Sentiero Azzuro, which means “Blue Trail” in Italian.

Yoshida Trail

This is the most popular hiking trail in Japan. There are several paths to climb Mount Fuji, but the Yoshida Trail offers the most inspirational views. The view from the top of the 12,389-foot volcano is amazing if you go on a clear day. One of the best parts about hiking this trail is that you can actually stop halfway up for a cup of some of the most delicious noodles in the world.

Santa Cruz Trek

This trail in Peru is much lesser known than the Inca Trail that goes to Machu Picchu, but it is the most beautiful hike in South America. The Santa Cruz Trek gives hikers views of the Cordillera Blanca, or White Range, which are part of the Andes and the highest mountains in Peru. The Santa Cruz Trek takes hikers on a 30-mile hike that offers stunning views of these icy mountain peaks.

Pack for Safety

When you are going on a hiking adventure, don’t forget to bring along all of the necessary safety supplies. Be sure to brig fire starting equipment, lots of warm clothing and protection. It is a good idea to bring along knives by Gerber to help keep you safe on your journey.
